I guess you could say I’m on a fantasy/V.E. Schwab binge…

A Darker Shade of Magic re-ignited my love of magic, for worlds filled to the brim with it but hold a certain subtlety to it.

So much happens in this music, so many great storylines and plot lines, and so much that I wasn’t expecting (like Lila and pirates).

I’m curious to see what happens in the rest of the series, how it ties to this story, and if they dive deeper into to Black London👀

I loved the first one, especially the world building and the tidbits of character building, giving me a glimpse of their future and their powers. But THIS BOOK HAD ME HOOKED!

The magical games, Lila’s discovery of herself, the scenery and the backdrop of what’s to come….the descriptions of EVERYTHING with such detail.

AND THEY FINALLY KISS…all that goddamn tension and buildup.

Just….AAAAAHHHHH🤌🏼
